To sum up the day in a single word, I would say smooth. The airport check in was no problem at all, and the TSA line moved along unlike previous experiences (I’m looking at you, Boston). After I told the stone-faced gentleman I had an artificial hip, he summoned another to run the scanner booth which was no big deal, although it did remind me of the disintegration booth in that Star Trek TOS episode.

Whenever EQD posts conventions, I like to pop them into the calendar and set an alert for six weeks or a month prior to the date. Not that I plan to do everything or go everywhere, but if the opportunity arose, I would like to have enough time. So far, Trotcon and BronyCon are the only pony events I've attended. Ciderfest and EFNW are still on my list. At one point, BUCK was a possibility, if I renewed my passport and could score a cheap flight, but it disappeared before I could make it

Hello everyone! It's summer time, which means it's also time for conventions! So if any of you are going to be at Fiesta Equestria next week or one of the other Texas conventions, let me know! I'll come say hi.

So, seeing as I'm currently living in Dallas for a contract job, and Nightmare Nights Dallas is only about 45 minutes away from here, and less than 15 from the job site, I will be in attendance. This is, surprisingly, the first time I've ever been to a convention on a non-professional basis, so it's all going to be new for me.

Went to Nightmare Nights Dallas this past weekend. This was the last year for the convention.

Why have all the cons down south shut down? Fiesta Equestria, Derpycon South, and now Nightmare Nights?! Are there more that I don't know about?!
